Who We Are

Our website address is https://starpngs.com/

Star PNGS is a platform providing free, copyright-free PNG images and related content to visitors worldwide. For any privacy-related inquiries, you can reach us at contact@starpngs.com.

What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the site (for example, through a contact or contributor form), you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the site can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact Forms

If you submit an inquiry through our contact form, we collect the information you provide (such as your name and email address) so we can respond to your request. Contact form submissions are retained for as long as needed to resolve your inquiry and are not used for marketing purposes without your separate consent.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.

We also use cookies in connection with third-party advertising (see “Advertising and Analytics” below).

Analytics and Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display ads on Star PNGS, and we may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and other sites.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings or via www.aboutads.info.
  • Learn more about how Google uses data at Google’s Privacy & Terms page.

Who We Share Your Data With

We share data with the following categories of third parties:

  • Google AdSense / Google Analytics—for serving advertisements and understanding site usage
  • Web hosting provider—for storing and serving website data
  • Gravatar (Automattic)—for displaying commenter profile images, where applicable

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

How Long We Retain Your Data

  • Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely, so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically rather than holding them for moderation.
  • Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to and resolve your inquiry.
  • Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider’s default retention settings, typically up to 14 months, or as configured by us.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments and site data may be checked through an automated spam detection service and may be transferred outside your country of residence, including to servers located in the United States or the European Union, depending on our hosting and third-party service providers. Where required, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are used to protect data transferred outside the European Economic Area.

How We Protect Your Data

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data we collect, including secure hosting practices and restricted access to site administration. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

What Data Breach Procedures We Have in Place

In the event of a data breach affecting personal data, we will take prompt steps to investigate, contain, and remediate the issue and will notify affected users and relevant authorities where required by applicable law.

What Third Parties We Receive Data From

We may receive limited technical data (such as aggregated traffic statistics) from our advertising and analytics partners, including Google, for the purposes described above.

Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects or similarly significantly affects users. Advertising cookies may be used to build general interest-based advertising profiles through third-party services such as Google, as described above.

Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

Star PNGS does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

GDPR and CCPA Rights

If you are located in the EEA, the UK, or California, you may have additional rights, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
